It’s a perfect event to get your team or prac- tice involved in. Teams can vary in size from between six and 10 people at £500 (minimum) spon- sorship per team. The funds raised will be vi- tal for Bridge2Aid’s training pro- grammeinemergencydentistry,as CEO Mark Topley explains: “Our training programmes this year will give access to simple, pain reli- eving dental treatment to almost half a million people in East Africa. But this only possible with funds donated by our ‘Friends of Bridge- 2Aid’ and raised by events like ‘It’s a Knockout’. I hope that many practices and teams will join us for what promises to be a great day out having fun and making a big dif- ference to the poor rural commu- nities where Bridge2Aid works.” Let the fun begin! The games will start from 11am to 3pm at Aston University’s sports ground. There’ll be a cash bar and barbecue to enjoy, as well as plenty of shower and changing facilities. Spectators are more than welcome to help cheer on their favourite team and looking silly and having fun is definitely compulsory – in fact, extra points will be rewarded to the best-dressed team! About the charity Bridge2Aid (B2A) is a dental and community development charity working in the Mwanza region of North West Tanzania. We started full-scale operations in 2004 and work closely with the Tanzanian Government to deliver aspects of their dental strategy.
