Bedient wird sie über die moderne und intuitiv verständli- che Touchscreen-Oberfläche mit dem Namen EasyTouch. Der Behandler kann diese über den Fußschalter bedienen und damit die Unterbre- chung der Hygienekette vermeiden. Der Fußschalter ist wahlweise in ei- ner kabellosen Funkversion erhält- lich, die flexibel im Raum positioniert werden kann. Nach Angaben des Herstellers er- laubt die Oberfläche auch die Steue- rung der Endodontiefunktion sowie eines ApexLocators, die optional in die Einheit integriert werden können. Bei der Endodontiefunktion ist zudem eine Feilenbibliothek hinterlegt. Während SINIUS mit der bran- chenweit einzigartigen Verschiebe- bahntechnologie ausgestattet ist, ver- fügt die Schwestereinheit SINIUS CS über ein neu entwickeltes Schwing- bügelsystem. Für verbesserten Pa- tientenkomfort sorgen eine Lordose- funktion, bei der sich die Rücken- lehne an die individuelle Anatomie des Patienten anpassen lässt, sowie ein kühlendes Klimapolster. Optimal patient comfort is provided by a special cooling upholstery, and the lumbar support by the backrest that can be adjusted to the individual anatomy of the patient. According to the company, den- tists will be able configure SINIUS according to their requirements. According to the French company, their CS tips are able to smoothly enlarge the crest one by one avoiding the risks of bone break- ing. The technique is said to be faster and less exhausting for both practi- tioners and patients compared the use of manual materials. Moreover, the recommended irriga- tion flow and the haemo- static effect of the ultra- sonics limit the bleed- ings which en- hances visibility on the surgical field. The crest splitting step-by-step technique is performed in 3 main stages. The thin cutting CS1 and CS2 tips are dedicated to osteotomies un- til the depth of 8 mm. This fine and crucial incision guides the next step where a CS3 tip is used to perform the discharges incisions in mesial and distal sides, always until a depth of 8 mm. The company advises to make these discharges incisions before using the CS4 tip in order to avoid any bone cracks. The conical CS4, CS5 and CS6 tips enlarge the crest progressively without traumatism to prepare the implants recipient site. Finally, the bone filling biomaterials can be introduced into the created space where placement of the im- plant can be performed immediately or after healing. Durch die konstant gute Wasser- qualität über die gesamte Filterle- bensdauer entstünden keine Kalk- ablagerungen, Flecken oder Schlie- ren an den Instrumenten. Auch bei Lagerung gäbe es keinen Qualitäts- verlust, so der Hersteller. Die Filterkartusche ist recyclebar, ein Stromanschluss ist nicht erfor- derlich und senkt als Ersatz für Des- tilliergeräte den Stromverbrauch. The Multidem water purification system from W&H supplies high qual- ity demineralised water for generat- ing steam in autoclaves and, by ensur- ing a uniform, optimal output, is able to extend the service life of sterilisers or purification units. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to purchase distilled water. The purification unit can be installed and connected to another device in just a few steps, the company said. Changing the cartridge is also said to be quick and require no tools. Due to its ergonomic shape, place- ment of the cartridge saves space and does not require fixation. Multidem produces pure water for instrument condi- tioning within a very short time. The pure water com- plies with the relevant rec- ommendations and speci- fications for the opera- tion of steam sterilisers and for conditioning in- struments. As a result of the good water quality over the entire service life of the filter, no lime scale, spots or streaks appear on instruments. There is also no loss of quality from storage, the company said. The filter cartridge is recyclable. As no electrical connection is re- quired, it reduces electricity con- sumption by working as a replace- ment for distillation units.
