Eine systematische Prüfung der publizierten Fachliteratur einschließlich aller prospektiven Studien mit einem Follow-up von mindestens einem Jahr und ei- ner Mindestanzahl von zehn Patienten mit OsseoSpeed-Implanta- ten hat ergeben, dass diese positiven Knochenwerte hinreichend belegt sind. Aus ästhetischem Blickwinkel betrachtet, kann ein Knochenverlust von nur 0,5 mm den Unterschied zwischen ge- sundem natürlichem Weichgewebe oder aber schwarzen Drei- ecken zwischen den Zähnen ausmachen. Dies bedeutet, dass das ASTRA TECH Implant System mit seinem Abbau von maxi- mal 0,3 Millimetern eine solide Basis für ästhetisch erfolgreiche Behandlungen bietet. In mehreren Publikationen von klinischen Langzeitstudien wurde dies bestätigt.
